Peace Corps updates

So... much has happened since I last posted, and as predicted I didn't keep up with this blog.  So here's a little bit of information about what has happened since my first post.

I finally completed my medical forms.  It turns out the clinic did not do a red blood cell count and of course the peace corps needed a novel about my dislocated knee (an injury that occured late last winter), and my past issues with heartburn.  So I had to make more appointments and talk to my doctor again.  I am really starting to think he hates me, and wished I would just leave.  So I worked all that out and finally faxed all my information back.  A few weeks later I recieved two letters in the mail.  First, that the nurse reviewing my file has found that unless something in my health changes everything is going according to plan, and the second letter to let me know to look forward to the placement officer letting me know where they will need me the most, and I will be able serve.

So I waited.  My status on the website changed, and all that was left was my placement to be cleared.  Finally, today I recieved a phone call from Jason, my placement officer, he just needs a transcript from college and will sit down and look at where I should go.  This is big news so of course I sent in a transcript as soon as possible.  And now I just wait, wait for him to recieve my transcript and make sure it is what he wanted, and to get a phone call with his decision.  Oh the waiting game.

My First Post

Beginning things are always easy for me. Keeping them going and soon or later finishing them is where I run into problems. Hopefully this blog will help me keep up with the things I need to get done. Namely, finish getting into the Peace Corps, study and take the GRE, possibly apply to grad school, finish artsy project and works of fiction, and finding a more fulfilling job.
